Behind the History of

Diverse Programmers

Our History: Founder and Company

Our founder is a coder himself and before founding Diverse Programmers worked in both the private and government sectors focusing on web, mobile and desktop applications. He worked in automotive, financial, real estate, education and as a contractor for the U.S. government.

Some of his achievements were with the United States Geological Survey at the National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, CO as a government contractor where he automated the development and release cycle for the mission critical hazdev team, which is the innovator of many technologies eventually adopted by the rest of the U.S.G.S. and the Department of the Interior.

He lead a team of engineers at the innovative education technology company, Peachjar. There he helped with the functionality of the cart checkout system, integrating features like chat, hotjar, automated sales events, and improved security. He also worked on their first docker containers and helped them migrate from RackSpace to AWS.

Some of his innovations include a Chrome and Firefox extension that added additional storage for mortgage companies that used the CRM Velocify at a much cheaper rate, as well as keeping the CRM free of bloat. He also developed an automotive plugin for WordPress.

AWS consulting is one of our specialties in addition to web and mobile application development. Our founder and solutions architect, James Malin, is a AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate. He also carries his Five9 Inbound/Outbound certification and previously has Google Adwords certification (2015).

The rest of our team also boast a prestigious background, such as teaching classes at UCSD and working for other large enterprises in both the public and government sectors.
