Order management
AI validation for every inbound order, with analysts kept for the exceptions
Every inbound order was reviewed by hand to avoid shipping restricted or incorrect products. An AI inspection service now auto-approves low-risk orders and routes the rest to analysts with an explanation.

After: exceptions only$150K
The problem
- 100% of inbound orders reviewed manually, consuming thousands of analyst hours a year.
- Some orders delayed by up to 48 hours waiting for review.
- Orders arriving by email, EDI and file upload with free-text fields that rules alone couldn't assess.
What we built
- An inspection service that sits in the order flow and evaluates descriptions, comments and shipping notes.
- Keyword and phrase detection, pattern checks and intent classification.
- Auto-approval for low-risk orders, with flagged orders routed to an analyst along with the reason.
- Integration with the existing SAP and middleware landscape, across separate dev, QA and production environments.
Outcome
- Instant confirmation for nearly half of all orders, instead of waiting up to 48 hours.
- Consistent policy enforcement before orders enter fulfillment.
“OrderShield AI has transformed how we validate incoming orders, significantly reducing manual errors and ensuring policy compliance.”
